For every blanket purchased, Sackcloth and Ashes gives a blanket to your local homeless shelter. Founder of Sackcloth & Ashes, Bob Dalton was inspired to help the homeless population when his mother found herself living on the streets in 2013. Because of his mother’s journey, he was inspired to call his local homeless shelters to ask what they needed most – they all said blankets. Sackcloth & Ashes’ mission is to highlight grassroots organizations that are creating solutions for helping the homeless. The blankets that they donate, although a real and practical need, are third party objects that connect them to amazing people and organizations doing incredible work on a grassroots level.
